TC Teens
FAQs
What is TC Teens? Is it a youth group?
TC Teens is not a "youth group" in the traditional sense. Teens are a vital part of Transformation Church and are servant leaders in areas such as TC Kids, TC Hospitality, and TC Music. However, teens do meet each Sunday night for a time of worshiping and connecting that is more intentionally geared towards their context, as it's important for them developmentally at this age to connect and grow with other teens. It's more accurate to think of TC Teens as a special TC Group where the teens are able to Worship together, Connect in small groups, and get equipped and organized to Serve the Church and our community.
Where and when does TC Teens meet?
TC Teens meets each Sunday evening, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Transformation Church.
What are the ages of students allowed to attend TC Teens?
TC Teens is for students from 6th to 12th grade. Rising 6th graders can join the first weekend in June each year. High-school graduates are encouraged to attend until they start college, at which point they might consider serving in TC Teens if they will be in school locally.
What typically goes on at TC Teens?
A typical night of TC Teens includes a large-group game or team building activity, along with some socializing and catching up. Periodically we will also start the evening off by worshipping through music. The heart of TC Teens is the small groups where the teens discuss the weekend's sermon in greater detail to help apply it to their own lives. Teens are grouped by age and gender.
What other kinds of events are available for TC Teens?
TC Teens have a quarterly event where teens can have fun and connect with one another as well as an annual end-of-summer gathering. There are also teen-specific service events organized periodically. TC Teens typically participate in most church-wide service and connect events, as our vision of being multi-generational impacts every area of life at TC.
