Serve is one of the five characteristics of a Transformer. As we love God completely (Upward) and ourselves correctly (Inward), we are then compelled to love our neighbors compassionately (Outward). Transformers are encouraged to serve
in a ministry area within TC and to live their everyday lives on mission with God.
We are a "mission-shaped" community. What does this mean? It means that everything we do is shaped by Jesus' mission:
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." ~ Luke 15:10
Jesus so loved every human who has ever lived, or who will ever live, to His death. He came to earth on a seek-and-rescue mission. And we, His missionaries, have the privilege of joining Him in His mission of seeking and saving the lost so they can be discipled in how to live an Upward, Inward, Outward life (
Matthew 28:18-20).
This means that Transformers are encouraged to "roll out" to serve and love on people wherever God has placed you.
